    Prior to your opening you should set aside a day or however many days it would take and allow all of your good customers on your mail list to reserve a time for their first visit back. It would eliminate the mad rush to get back and create a lot of good will.
    With this nice website I am sure your webmaster could send an interactive calendar and let the customers schedule their own time.

      James, your ears must be burning. We are looking into loyalty programs. We don’t have anything set in stone yet. If you go to the section where you can be added to our mailing list, we have an area where you can add your birthday. We were thinking about having a birthday club, with something along the lines of a free meal on your birthday. Also, we have been talking about possibly having some Fish Fry Fridays some evenings. All of this is in the beginning stages of brainstorming.

    It seems like forever….we are starving…haven’t had a decent meal since the end of May. But as they say…all good things are worth waiting for…so here we are….waiting for another wonderful meal from John G’s : ) Can’t wait to see you Wendy, Keith and Jay! Hope all is going well…17 days left in August….see you soon, very soon we hope! I’m not sure if we made it onto the Email list, please add us, we wouldn’t want to miss the Grand Opening.

      We haven’t sent out the Grand Opening date eblast yet. We sent out a “Construction Update” eblast last week. if you didn’t get it, you may be in this batch of about 300 people (new email list requests) that we need to add to our customer list. We will be sending out the “Construction Update” blast to that group of people when they are added. We will also be making updates here to the website, so you can always check here as well. Mitch and Carol, don’t starve yourselves too skinny!!

      You will be so pleased with the new location. i know it will be worth the wait. It is a larger location and there is no more meter parking. We got new equipment in but still have the same decorating ambiance of our last location. And of course, the same friendly staff and delicious food.

    Wendy, my birthday has come and gone (thanks for the hug) but what I really want is John G’s open. I had to go elsewhere (the DD) on my birthday, had to pay for parking and the food was just OK. My parents are waiting to give me a birthday present of a John G’s gift certificate and I am looking forward to using it! I hope you open REAL SOON!!!

    So close. For a while, I was hoping that you would reopen for my father’s birthdat (9/10) and then I was hoping you woulr reopen for mine (9/13). Now it appears that we will be celebrating both birthdays just a little late on 0/14.

    Connie, Joe, Irene, Mark, Mitchell, and maybe Vicky expect to celebrate your reopening on Saturday 9/17 at 9:00 AM. I can’t wait to see you all.

    The soft opening of the restaurant opened for business on 9/14 and I was there! The new kitchen was being tested and the restaurant was still waiting for some last crucial appliances (such as soda fountains). The Grand Opening of the new location is scheduled for 9/17 and 9/18.

    I can report that John G’s is bigger and better than ever. This is not just a new location. John Giragos’ family has taken the old restaurant and moved it into larger and more spacious quarters. For a regular customer of the old John G’s walking into the new location is like coming home. With most of the old staff present, it was more like returning to the home of good friends for a celebration than going out to a restaurant for breakfast.

    It is the same but more spacious, quieter, more efficient, and of course the food is as great as ever. The old tables, mementos, and decorations have been carefully woven into the fabric of the expanded facility. They have managed to preserve the look, feel, and character that John Giragos created so many years ago. I am sure that he would be quite proud of what they have accomplished in preserving his legacy and creating one of their own. When I visit John G’s, I feel like family and not just another customer.

    John G’s remains my all-time favorite place for breakfast.

      Just to clarify, the soft opening was Wed 9/14. At that time not all of the restaurant equipment was in yet, including (but not limited to) the soda fountains. The kitchen was being tested out, and it was merely a soft opening. We don’t want to confuse your twitter followers into thinking the restaurant is fully operational. That won’t be the case until this upcoming weekend Saturday, September 17. Thank you for your support!

    We ocassionally travel to WPB and always stop by for the great food. Is the menu the same? I don’t see it on your new website. I would like to see the menu added so we can visually anticipate the great foods.

      Yes the menus are basically the same, but there have been a few changes.

      If you go to the main home page (www.johngs.com) you should see a button/link to see the lunch menu and breakfast menu. Scroll over the text and you should be able to get to the menus from there. Also, under the orange “Home” button at the top right, if you click on that, you will see the menus listed there too. Hope this helps!

      Can’t wait to see you again at our new Manalapan location!

      Our menu is posted on the website, but we are always open for suggestions and additions for the improvement of our restaurant. Thank you for your post.
